Why does WordLoop ask for an API key?
WordLoop connects directly to the AI provider you choose. Your API key authorizes that connection and is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
Where is my vocabulary and conversation data stored?
Your word list, settings, practice history, and saved conversations are stored locally on your device using iOS data protection.
When is practice text sent to an AI provider?
Only after you explicitly allow sharing with that provider and send a message. WordLoop identifies the provider before asking for permission.
How do I withdraw AI sharing permission?
Open Profile, find Privacy & Data, then tap Revoke next to the provider. WordLoop will ask again before sending future practice text.
How do I delete my data?
Open Profile and use Clear Conversation History to remove practice records, or Clear All Local Data and API Keys to completely reset WordLoop.
What happens if an AI provider does not answer?
Check your internet connection, confirm your API key is valid and has available quota, then try again. Provider usage fees and limits are managed through your provider account.
For details about data handling, read the WordLoop Privacy Policy.
